It is always good to hear like minded folks. I have had my Savage for 7 months and for the past 2-3 months I have been 'shopping' for the next bigger bike that I think i really need.
Truth is I have already got the windshield, some saddle bags, and plan on getting the Supertrapp muffler. I'm hooked!
I'm much more comfortable at <=65mph than I used to be, but most of my riding is just backroads. In Texas where the highway speed is at least 70+, I confess that I have not yet gotten on the hightway (I will say that I'm scared still).
My biggest complaint is the seat. I can go only about 90 minutes on it. So my rides have not been longer. I can't rationalize the cost of something bigger because of the seat. Gotta find a third party seat...
..by the way, the Yamaha (shutter, my last two cars are even Suzuki) V-Star seems like a good deal for less than $6000.
